Rugged, ancient and unique

Valstrona is a steep and winding valley of great, wild beauty much loved by hikers and bikers, made up of a series of tiny villages, Luzzogno with its late 15th century Church and a sanctuary, Inuggio known for its walnut trees, Fornero where wood turners congregated of old, Sambughetto with its caves and grottoes and Campello Monti with the former Parish Church of St John the Baptist and the Ecomuseum celebrating the culture of the Walser peoples. Valstrona is a starting point for touring on foot, mountain bike or motorbike.
