Il Cardinale pub bar restaurant / Founded in 1986 as a pub, Il Cardinale has evolved into a restaurant and bar on the edge of Lake Orta. Today, chef Stefano Biggiogera is at the helm of the kitchen, ranging from typical Italian cuisine (offering his popular risottos) to imaginative fusion (such as the well-known tuna steak with purple cabbage, green apple, soy reduction and Sichuan pepper) to the combination of food and cocktails (in dishes such as “Moscow Mule Shrimp”), giving the place a modern but familiar feel.
