From 21 to 31 August the festival that makes Lake Orta shine returns
Among the most anticipated evenings, on 23 and 30 August two great pyromusical shows in the Gulf of Omegna and, on August 26, “I Love Formentera”, with the DJs of Radio 105 Roberto Milani and Paolino.
It is one of the oldest patronal festivals in Piedmont and certainly one of the most rooted in the Cusian community. Over the decades, the Feast of San Vito has been able to attract the attention and affection of many visitors from outside the region.
On the calendar in Omegna from 21 to 31 August, the event offers a very rich program of appointments suitable for every age.
The program preserves some pillars that have always told the most authentic soul of this event, first of all religious. The suggestive procession in honor of San Vito stands out, scheduled for Saturday, August 29, immediately after the celebration of the Holy Mass at 20.15 at the Collegiate Church of Omegna.
This is the main moment of the many events that make up the religious celebrations of the patronal feast of the Cusian capital.
To the occasions related to worship – the community has kept for centuries the memory of San Vito, martyr who arrived on the shores of Lake Orta from the Roman Catacombs on the “day of the calends”, on August 27, 1611 – the many events organized by the San Vito Celebrations Committee and the Un Secolo Association of San Vito are added.
Eleven days and evenings made possible thanks to the passionate commitment of a valiant team of volunteers and the support of sponsors and partners who, again this year, have shown a fundamental closeness to give life to the historic celebrations. San Vito 2026.
