Path development
The strong point is the Pescone Waterfall, a waterfall of about 30 meters with natural pools where you can take a refreshing dip on summer days. The trail alternates between forest roads and single tracks, with some short descents but no significant technical difficulties. The constant presence of water makes this route particularly pleasant on hot days, and the shade of the trees offers relief throughout the hike.

Points of interest
Along the way, you’ll encounter the remains of old mills and small canalization works linked to the historic exploitation of water. The Pescone stream was once used to power factories and sawmills, and some traces of this activity are still visible along the trail. The area is also known for its local stone, with granite outcrops characterizing the landscape.

Return
The route is a loop and leads back to the starting point. The final stretch climbs gently through the woods, completing the loop without requiring any technical sections.

Practical notes on the Pescone waterfall ring

This hike is also suitable for families with children, as long as you pay attention to the steeper sections near the waterfall. Shoes with treaded soles are recommended for the dirt road and granite sections, which can be slippery when wet. Bring water: there are no refueling points along the trail. Best time: Spring and early summer, when the stream’s flow is highest; in autumn, the forest offers vibrant colors. In summer, the pools beneath the waterfall are ideal for a refreshing break.
