Autumn Trekking in Ameno: discovering the Bread Tree

On Sunday, October 11, the Association INTRECCI and Discovery Alto Piemonte accompany visitors through the woods of the Valle dell’Agogna for a walk through history, nature and tradition, with a final snack.

AMENO (NO) – Autumn transforms the woods of Lake Orta and the Valle dell’Agogna into a mosaic of warm and enveloping colors. On the occasion of the first appointment of the exhibition Excursionando, the Association INTRECCI, in collaboration with Discovery Alto Piemonte, organizes for Sunday, October 11, 2026 a guided walk entitled “Trekking of Autumn to discover the Tree of Bread: the Chestnut”.

The initiative was born with the aim of enhancing the local natural and historical heritage, offering participants a relaxing immersion in nature and a journey to rediscover the fundamental role that the chestnut tree has played for centuries in the economy and in the subsistence of mountain and hill communities.

The meeting is scheduled for 14:30 at the parking lot of Le Pigne World (Via Mulini 7, Ameno). From here will start an accessible walk and suitable for everyone, which will lead the participants along the paths immersed in the autumn foliage. During the course, the botanical aspects, curiosities and traditions related to the bread tree will be deepened.

The return is scheduled for about 16:30 and will end with a convivial moment of snack together.
